What Randy Brings to the Team

 Randy began his career in 2004 as a bank teller with HSBC. Over the years he worked at several commercial banks, taking on multiple roles that led into management and then Merchant Services, where he worked until moving into insurance.

Assisting clients daily and uncovering their individual needs carried over naturally from banking. Understanding what is important to each client helps Randy recommend a product solution that can benefit their lives, since everyone’s needs are different.
He takes a calm, consultative approach, listening first and giving clients room to share information so he can learn what matters most to them and what their immediate needs are.

How Randy Will Assist You

Randy works with personal lines insurance, including liability coverages, dwelling coverage in the event of a home loss, and endorsements such as water backup and utility line coverage. When explaining a policy, he covers the coverage limits and the primary purpose of each coverage. Auto and home policies can carry many endorsements, so he keeps his explanations as simple as possible to avoid overwhelming clients while helping them clearly understand what is included in their policy.

When working on quotes, Randy reviews the multiple carriers our agency writes with, aiming to avoid trading coverage for cost. If a solution offers cost savings while still meeting a client’s coverage requirements, that is the policy he presents. Because not every risk fits every carrier’s guidelines, comparing carriers allows him to look for an option that aligns with the client’s needs.

Life Outside the Office

Randy is originally from Baldwinsville, where he still lives today. He is married and the proud father of two daughters, Kathryn and Vivian. With busy schedules, the family does its best to get out and enjoy everything their town has to offer, from local events to dining at neighborhood restaurants.

Randy and several friends hold season tickets for Syracuse football, and every year they head to the Dome together. He also works at large concert events for a friend’s production company. His father played in a band while he was growing up, so Randy listens to pretty much every kind of music. He is also a sucker for a good Marvel movie, which takes him back to reading the comics as a kid. He plays in four different fantasy football leagues, though he admits some years are better than others.

Fast Fact: Randy’s most memorable moment came while working a Rolling Stones concert at Ralph Wilson Stadium in Buffalo, when the band walked right past the crew after their soundcheck. He can now say he was 10 feet from the Rolling Stones!
